About me...

My name is Linda Barraza. Prior to coming to Cibolo Green, I taught at Roan Forest. I am married, with two children (11th grade at Reagan, and a sophomore at UT). Our home also includes our four-legged child, a rat terrier, "Jack".
I can't believe I now have 1 in high school and 1 IN COLLEGE!!!!!!! the years go by so fast... it was just yesterday that I was at my own children's 5th grade end of year ceremony!! I am originally from Boston, Mass., (although I was actually born in Japan!!) |

I attended Boston University, then I graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Boston with a degree in Biology and Psychology (I also took some courses at UMASS-Lowell). I then moved to Texas, where my husband and I ran a small business for 12+years. During that time I took graduate business courses from UTSA.
After we closed our business, I began spending LOTS of time in my son's school volunteering and subbing. I decided on a (third) career in education, I completed my Master of Education (Elementary Education) degree at Wayland Baptist University here in San Antonio. In my "spare" time, I like to read and cook. I love to travel with my family, too.

Every year, I look forward to returning to work with the Cibolo Green Fifth grade team...we have an amazing group of teachers, and we all work together to ensure the success of every student. Your child will work with many, if not all, of the fifth grade teachers.
This year will be a wonderful one for your child...they will learn, grow, and mature at a pace that is amazing!
